About the Lab
IPL was founded by Dr. Davide Schaumann in 2021. It conducts research at the intersection of Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, and Human Behavior Science. The lab’s goal is to transform buildings from passive containers into intelligent places that are aware of – and proactively cater to – the dynamic needs of their inhabitants.
About the Technion
The research will be conducted at the Technion, in Israel, in collaboration with international partners from leading universities in Europe and the US. The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology ranks among the world's top technological universities. It offers significant support to students through scholarships, travel awards, dedicated lab space and equipment, skills training, and professional development opportunities. The program will require physical attendance on campus for most part, although international travels for research purposes will be encouraged and frequently sponsored.
